Bow Pleated Purse

Hello Everyone,
I hope you all had wonderful holiday weekends (American and Canadian). I finally completed a test pattern I was doing for Samantha At Home With Mrs H and you can purchase the pattern on her Etsy site.  I absolutely loved the look of this bag and couldn't wait to test it out. I love how the bow and pleat made it feel vintage.

There was the option of doing either an adjustable strap or a normal strap. I couldn't locate the adjustable strap kit at the local store here in Canada. So, next time I am in the states I will pick one or two up. There are two pockets on one side of the inner lining and a zippered pocket on the other side. I also did my first magnetic closure (not pictured).

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.  I am linking up with these parties and TCB.

  4. Oh I like that. I am making totes, purses, beach bags and lots of other things out of plarn, plastic yarn, used plastic shopping bags. It is amazing the colors of bags one can run across. This bag is some nice work.

  17. Thank you for stopping by my blog! I truly appareciate it. The bag is soooo pretty! I have to admit, I'm a sucker for bows, and the pleat just adds that perfect touch.

When I saw the name of your blog, I thought perhaps you might still live in Brooklyn. We are having a small 'meet up' next week and was going to invite you to join in. I can understand why you would miss Brooklyn. I'm a NY'r and know the promenade area well. Must have been lovely seeing the fireworks from there!
I'll be following you on Pinterest. Thanks again!
