Finally...the dress is done

It all started with a cute McCall's pattern #5672 that E helped me pick out from a selection of suggested patterns. Although it said "easy" I was told by my instructor Sue that it was a difficult dress to sew (especially since this was my first). I can't wait to sew the jacket and the pants outfit down the road.

Here are all of my cut out pattern pieces.

Sorry I didn't take any pictures while sewing all the pieces together. I think I was just so involved with getting it done it didn't even cross my mind.

But, without further adieu here is the finished dress. Hope you like it.

I am currently taking an Alterations class and I am revamping a pair of boys cargo pants to be a pair of long shorts for our nephew G.

Have a wonderful evening.

  1. Congratulations, Alisha! You did a great job. That does look pretty advanced for a beginner. Button holes, sleeves and collar all in one project are not at all what I'd call easy, but you did it and you did great. Doesn't it feel good to look at it and know you made it?
