Test Pattern for Itch To Stich "Carey Top"

Hello Everyone,

I completed testing a pattern for Kennis at Itch to Stitch. The pattern is an adorable top called the "Carey Top".

The Carey Top is so easy to sew up and very comfortable. The top has elbow length drawstring-gathered dolman sleeves, you can add contrast to the shoulder panels, round neckline, a high/low shirttail hem and when you go to print the design there is a layer feature and you can just print the size that you need.

I got the linen fabric and the ribbon for the drawstring at Joann's. This top is so comfortable and can be worn with shorts, skirt, Capri's, khaki's or denim. I have worn it with shorts for the photos in this post and I also dressed it up with a skirt.
The pattern instructions/illustrations were very detailed and easy to understand. Also, Kennis gives you ideas to make the top with a different neck binding or even into a skirt. If you need help creating your shirttail hem, don't worry there are very detailed instructions in helping you create it.

I also picked up some rayon fabrics for the fall and will be making this very same shirt.

Stop by her shop and check out this pattern and all the other wonderful patterns for sale.

I am linking up with these parties, Remodelaholic, More the Merrier and TCB.

Have a wonderful day!!
